Sound of the Muse Records - Artist Development offers a wide range of professional resources for experienced, or beginner singers, songwriters, and musicians. Programs and services are designed and tailored to meet your needs, your budget and your artistic aspirations - hobby or professional.

Artist Development

If you have demonstrated talent as a musician, singer, or songwriter and the creativity and desire to work in collaboration with experienced like-minded artists we invite you to participate in our Collaboration Program. Admission is based on merit and there is no cost. The collaboration program is divided up into different groups with a common interest or a common song or artistic project. Any commercial outcomes of collaborations are negotiated and shared among the participants.

The objective of the Collaboration is to produce great art at a time when real music is becoming worthless AI and push button, devoid of truth and real talent. We hope to launch a number of the collaboration projects on the record label in the coming year.

Over the years, Sound of the Muse has developed and launched a number of popular and successful in-studio artist development programs for youth singers and musicians including Glee Ottawa and Pop Star Experience Ottawa. Both programs graduated some 120 aspiring teen performers featured on their own recording and music videos produced at Sound of the Muse. Central to our artist development programs for youth is Shann Bailey's popular vocal coaching method offered through the Sound of the Muse - Vocal Recording Master Class. Our youth programs also offer our unique and successful piano and guitar coaching program for those who want to learn, or enhance their ability to both play an instrument and sing at the same time, with equal achievement.

Sound of the Muse recording studios and artist development programs in Ottawa are conducted with our client artists at our “DreamForest” Studios in west Ottawa. Located on a tranquil 3-acre forest retreat, the studios and facilities provide an inspired and supportive environment for taking your art to a whole other level.

You'll have access to a music producer, vocal coach, studio engineer, catering, a studio band of selected professional musicians, an HD video studio, a rehearsal and live-from-the-floor recording studio, a 36 track acoustic recording studio, and a relaxing outdoor cabana for coffee breaks and lyric writing surrounded by nature.

We also offer accommodation arrangements for out of town guests.
