In recent years, with the demise of artist development by the major labels, it has been the independent
Canadian producers and record labels that have been at the forefront of generating the most exciting new
voices in Canadian music.
Our central mission at Sound of the Muse is to cultivate and inspire songwriters, musicians, singers and
performing arts organization. We strive to provide them with the creative support and technical tools that
they will need to connect with an audience, no matter how big or small.
Artist and Repertoire Development
As our name implies we believe in courting and cultivating the Muse. We start with the premise that you
have to have great original material. Composition, arrangement and quality music production is at the
heart of our creative approach. Our passion is to work with our artists to write, record and publish
great songs. We believe that great songs are also the best inspiration and foundation for developing
those special performance qualities that singers and musicians aspire to.
Sound of the Muse Roster
Sound of the Muse produces and promotes its own roster of recording artists. We discover and cultivate much
of this talent through our artist development programs. We are in production for a number of new releases in October 2012.
